Are you full of beans?

It’s Sports Day (体育の日; taiiku no hi) in Japan today.

So I thought it would be fitting to share a four-character idiom in Japanese (四字熟語; yoji jukugo) that encapsulates the spirit of this national public holiday - 生気溌剌(せいきはつらつ; seiki hatsuratsu)

In good old Aussie slang this means you’re ‘full of beans’ (ie, full of energy & enthusiasm) - something a physically active lifestyle is likely to promote!

Who knows any other Japanese idioms that are a slam-dunk fit for Sports Day?
